I'm forced to admit I've not heard most of these - but I felt the need to throw in a vote for the War Of The Worlds set - the tune Forever Autumn contributed by Justin Hayward would alone make that album worth it (though there's more to like as well.) And I've been very favorably impressed with everything I've heard (on Internet radio) on Battlement from Neuschwanstein as well ...

The first five on that list are fabulous albums. Hemispheres is my favorite among them.

As the poll stands, it was a battle between my favorite Rush album and my favorite Jethro Tull album. Tull won, natch.

the best album of 1978 is not on the list, simply because hardly anyone knows it. this is due to the fact that it was not available for over 25 years. with members of Hawkwind, Gong and Brand X the line-up is quite exquisite.
I bet not even 50 people in here know it at all, so it can not be expected to get 50 ratings. it is one of those very rare gems. I am talking about this album: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=8156 |

Heavy Horse, an under appreciated Tull masterpiece.

Both Bubu's Anabelas and National Health's are very good, as are others here like Schulze's and Kraftwerk's. I also like Jose Cid's considerably, and Hemispheres was a favourite of mine at one time. Good list, and I can say I've heard them all. Bubu's was one of those revelatory albums for me, so it will take it.
