Topic: Best Rush album cover Posted: July 20 2010 at 07:55 |
Not a band I really associate with great album covers. Great albums yes, but not covers.
I've always liked Grace Under Pressure so voted for that. Test For Echo is pretty good too.

None stand out for me. I actually like Fly By Night but it doesn't beat Permanent Waves.

I like the Magritte vibe of Hemispheres. I think the Moving Pictures cover is incredibly stupid, yet it still makes me laugh.

I actually do like that look of devastation that's on "A Farewell to Kings" along with the disheveled fella on the right.

Perhaps not quite as iconic as Pink Floyd or Yes album covers, Rush has had a nice variety of distinctive covers over the years. Which is a standout for you? Please vote irregardless of your feelings (good or bad) about the music contained within.
For space purposes I could not include all live and compilation releases, so I've kept the list strictly studio.
My fave I think is Roll the Bones for having such a richly detailed painting, although Test for Echo, Moving Pictures, and Presto (bunnies!) are also high on my list.
