Feel My Method - ‘Blackpuddin’
LABEL: Feelmyrecords / STYLE: Rap-Rock-Electronica-Dirtyness !! / RELEASE DATE: SEPT 6th 2010
RELEASE INFO:
A lone swordsman steps across the dismal planes, nothing but a laptop in his beat up rattle snake skin suitcase. He's a man pissed off, and tired of mediocre self-aggrandizing
rhymes, tired of unimaginative sampling stealing someone else's thunder, tired of Autotune, tired of conformism in the place of wild invention and spirit. This man is pissed, and he wants you to... he wants you to... feel... his... method...-
If you want to hear the sound of a man, slowly loosing his marbles in a shack on the Ukrainian border, ripped to the tits on internet err, plant food and plum brandy. This is
the album for you. And if you want to hear the sound of one of the UK's best all-round singer / rapper / songwriter / producer /engineers producing a work of unrivalled fire, ire and ice... This is it.
Chazegee, veteran breaksman, first came to the attention of Richard X, inventor of the bootleg, back in 1999. He writes : “ I got signed to Fresh records with the Freestylers back in the day. MC Navigator, Tenor Fly, Matt “Chinese tonight” n' Ast. I loved that sh*t, Broken Breakbeat, Biggidy Boo Bab. I wanted to do it all, be the rapper and the producer. Total control. Controooool.”
”I spent some time with my Band, the Method, riding the crest of the breakbeat wave, and then with the Lo-Fi Allstars on Bolshi. We even went Lounge and sold quarter a mill on the Hotel Costes thing. When Nu-Breaks hit, I was on it with Slyde and Fingerlickin, tearing up Glade, Fabric, Ministry, wherever...I loved the breakscene, Nuclearfreezone, the free party thing but all the vocalists were imported from other scenes. I was like, 'it's time for the boffin to stand up.”
This debut solo album was recorded with just a laptop, SM58,16 quid guitar from a Shropshire farmers market, and a whole load of Love and dedication.
TRACKLIST:
1. Bandwagonning.
Everyone wants to start with the rudest radio friendly of all time. Everyone claims that one, but do their songs feature Septuagenarian Banana inserts in a Parisian swingers club? Huh?
2. Dirty Disco.
This song isn't radio friendly at all.
3. Rise up.
Coming back to the UK after a year with no news, it all seemed a bit jaded. Brittania had turned into a seedy cow pokin' flabby arses in Suburbia.
4. Ketaponto.
The trials and tribulations of a young couple of ravers trying to find the morning after pill in a deeply Catholic Southern Italian town. The doctor was not impressed with the dick hairs on the explanatory diagram.
5.(Interlude) Drone Break
as it says, its an interlude and kind of droney.
6.Losing Control.
That metaphorical pill has been swallowed. There's no going back now.
7.Get Yours.
Getting beaten unconscious by a gang of Neo-Nazis in the notorious prison town of Leoploldov left a bad taste in my moth for some time.
8.No soul.
Rock rap and electronica doesn't have to sound like Limp Bizkit.
9.Hold On.
Sorry, you gotta have the ballad.
10.The other side.
Honey started pouring out the walls first time I lit the fire in my shack. Like the Shinning, but better on toast.
11.Warrior.
Well they called me up, at the entrance door, and I said do you know who I am? Well they said, are you Chazegee? And I said, yes I am.
