Roger Waters has had to add a further 2 shows to the London O2 Arena shows, as the first three sold out almost immediately.

Another thing which convinced me is there is a rumour this will be Waters's last tour (correct or not, the guy's nearly 67 so...).

My thought is this could be the last of the large scale progressive rock stage shows ever, so we bit the bullet & went for tickets.

I was right - £75 + £9.25 'service charge'

However...

I was there at Earls Court on the original tour in 1980; one of the most spectacular shows I've ever seen; the blurb states all the effects have been updated, digital projections, full 360 degree quadrophonic PA system...

Vicky and I are going

If that's the case, we won't bother. Two tickets (three if my son is interested), travel, and hotel in London. For that, we could get a cheap holiday abroad. Shame.

Two years ago David Gilmour asked "only" for 70 to 150€ at the Auditorium in Rome....

@Hawkwise: your animated gif is very nice. It's like when I look back to my vinyls. I recognize all these pictures....it makes me feel at home.

Fingers crossed hoping to get tickets for one of the O2 gigs

I saw Waters do DSOTM at the Birmingam NEC and it was superb. I actually prefer The Wall and have seen it done in full (and extremely well) by The Australian Pink Floyd.

These days, London & Manchester is a tour - most usually you're lookiong at one high profile gig to get as many bums on seats as possible then sod off for another year or so... (coughIronMaidencough)

I'd love to see another Roger Waters show. I saw him during his In the Flesh - Live tour and it was definitely one of my top 5 favorite show experiences that I've seen so far. Thumbs Up

agreed and it's gotten much worse in recent years before 2007 any band would at a minimum do all the big cities like Birmingham and further south but now if you want too see a band at home you'd better have a way of getting too the 02 arena
