CYMBALINE... THAT SONG IS FROM THE ALMBUM MORE...

A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS IS  AN EXCELLENT ALBUM

Indeed it is off the More lp unless he is speaking of a bootleg.

I would have rated Cirrus Minor or The Nile song over Cymbaline myself.

Opeth - Drapery Falls, Blackwater Park. Brilliant. Rest of the album would also be great. Don't like growling, ruins it for me.

Arena - Immortal?

All songs are quite good, but not excellent. But Moviedrome is brilliant. without the Moviedrome, the album would be just good.

Well, that's easy. In 1982 Renaissance released an album caled "Camera camera". All of it is quite shalow pop except the last song in the album caled "Ukraine ways" which is beatiful. It's the only reason to buy that album (and it's not enough IMO).

It took me two years to realise that there was a side two on my vinyl copy
of close to the edge by yes! I still haven't listened to the other two songs
on the album, I just know they can't be as phenomenal as that title track.

(This is actually based on a prior experience with Yes. I bought TALES
FROM TOPOGRPAHIC OCEANS used and accidently listened to the second
album first. I was completely blown away by "The Ancients" and "Ritual." I
put on the other slab of vinyl and was completely disappointed.)

Yes - Relayer (Gates.. is awesome but the rest isn't)

Tarkus is NOT a one song album ,its a 2 song plus 1 hymn album (the other song being A Time And A Place..I bet most other prog bands would love to record 'filler' as good as that  )

Magma - Udu Wudu Side one's passable but it's De Futura that justifies it all.

After Crying - Megalázottak és Megszomorítottak The first song is immense, in every sense. The remainder of the album is just propping it up.

The Flower Kings - Unfold the Future Well okay, more than two songs but I could quite happily wave 65% of that album goodbye.

Agreed, though I like the 2nd track too.

Genesis: We can't dance - Fading lights

Dream Theater: Change of seasons - only the title track is worth the money

It Bites: Once around the world - 14 minute titletrack is brillant, 4get the rest

Spocks Beard: V - Into the great nothing

Transatlantic: Live in Europe - Stranger in your soul

Camel - Breathless .. well I guess this isn't considered an excellent album, but Echoes is really amazing.

Shylock - Ile De Fievre has one of the best prog songs ever, but the rest is uninteresting.

ELP - Tarkus obviously..

Please, don't forget Mike Oldfield's Amarok: Just one song (even in the CD version) that tends to be overlooked because most proggers just don't know Oldfield post-70s.

Yes - "Talk", this song is superb but the rest of the album is very far from its quality.
