I haven't listened to Look Into The Future for years. You've prompted me to dig out my old vinyl copy and give it a blast.

I read that Aynsley Dunbar left Journey due to a change of direction (AOR that is) that was not to his tastes. And yes, both the first and the sophomore Journey albums are prog-rock.

"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)

Love those albums.Next is OK,but uneven.
Perry years is an entirely different ball game, with a few nice songs, but that's it.

I was lucky enough to see Journey do Look Into The Future when it came out. The first album and "Look" are both awesome pieces of work. I believe that "Of A Lifetime" and "Look Into The Future" are both epic Prog Rock standards, anyone care to add your thoughts on these early Journey pieces?
Rock is dead. Long live paper and scissors!
