Topic: Two Free Album from Philadelphia, PA prog band. Posted: February 12 2010 at 14:55 |
I think you're right. There have been changes to policy (often such acts would be mentioned in the Unsigned Bands forum). We had a policy before that the album/s must be for sale, but exceptions are made according to various criteria now including professional-sounding material and that the albums are complete (long enough, and not demos etc.). I think in cases such as this if a team supports it then an admin must be notified (I'll look through the details when I have time).

^ All the tracks are available for free, so technically no, but they ARE available as albums. You just don't pay for them. That would still qualify them, I think.

I've had a listen to several tracks, and so far think there is indeed a case for Eclectic. Is any of the music available for purchase? Good music.

I've suggested them for inclusion. Now we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Maybe, I'll have to listen it more than once. Anyway, we should submit this band to Eclectic, I think. For the record, their name is Origins.

^ Not sure I completely agree with that. The rap verses do feel slightly out of place in that track, but not enough to ruin it for me. It's still a really good song in my opinion.

Good stuff indeed. The album has quite some high points, but some low points too. For example, Megaton Watchmaker is fantastic but Galapagos - a. Expectations is not that good.
I sense great potential in this. Keep up the good work!

Nice stuff. You shouldn't just be giving away great music like this! Haha.
Guess I'll take advantage of the situation and download these before you wise up!

I played the first track and it does sound good indeed. Some sort of mix between The Mars Volta and Porcupine Tree. I'm downloading the whole stuff.
