Great photos.
Got to see 'em in D.C. this go round, just couldnt get the time off work to travel anywhere else unfortunately. Just got the recording of that show last night, it was just as good as I remember. Can't wait to see 'em again (won't be till like 2007 or something I guess). oh, and by the way threefates, Halo DOES kick ass live Edited by Nipsey88 |

Blackest Eyes is good live, but I've only heard one version of Halo, which was decent. If truth be told, I enjoy all of Porcupine Tree's live performances. |

I had heard Rudess would be joining Porcupine Tree for a few shows, and you're a lucky bastard for being able to see that, damn you! And you're quite the photographer, also, very nice. . . Tell me, though, did they play Trains? |

John Wesley has been on the last few PT shows as the second guitarist. Steven does all the guitars in recording, but can't do all that in concert. Also Wes adds most of the backing vocals. He's really a great addition to the show. He and Steven have a great connection together on stage. As I said, last time I saw John Wesley he was the roadie and warm up performer on the last Marillion tour. So he told me that he has a solo album coming out in a few weeks on Marillion's record label... |

John Wesley used to be in the band years ago.Not sure why he is back on board-but looks like he will be touring but not recording. |

Nice shots, Linda - I must be well out of touch; when did PT get a second guitarist?

It was a decent show, you must've been all kinds of CLOSE fates to have taken those pictures ahah. I was in the balcony and with a few sound problems aside I thought they were pretty good. The heavy parts needed to be louder I thought...they played (or at least sounded) VERY laid back...definitely a band for seats too!

So the show in NYC was even better than the show at the Stone Pony. Actually is was a really great show. And my friend Jon, who attended both shows with me.. and the same crowd we met and hung out with at the Stone Pony were here.. so the whole front of the stage was like a line of friends.. I headbanged so much... my neck hurts still! The other fortunate thing is that they said no pictures again... but they let me take pictures, so I was really happy!!
So here's a few: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Porcupine% 20Tree/Irving%20Plaza/PT-Steve-Wes2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Porcupine% 20Tree/Irving%20Plaza/PT-Band3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Porcupine% 20Tree/Irving%20Plaza/P5200226.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Porcupine% 20Tree/Irving%20Plaza/P5200225-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Porcupine% 20Tree/Irving%20Plaza/P5200154.jpg Oh and the warm up band was the mighty-fine Rudess Morgenstein Project and as I said in another thread, both Jordan and Rod are excellent at what they were playing.. I'm just not sure they were playing on the same songs. Also (and this is not a dig) I noticed that Jordan did quite a bit of reading music. He had a music stand and you could tell whenever he was playing the Korg.. he was reading the music. When playing the Kurzweil.. he didn't. I just found it interesting. I also liked the music when he played the Kurzweil better. hmmm Anyway, a few shots of the Rudess Morgenstein Project. That Rod has one colorful drum kit! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Rudess-Mor genstein/IP-Rod3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Rudess-Mor genstein/IP-Rod4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Rudess-Mor genstein/IP-Jordan2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v20/Pebble/Misc/Rudess-Mor genstein/IP-Jordan4.jpg My friend Jon also attended last night's show in Philly... I just didn't have the energy to truck 2 hours down and then 2 hours back afterwards... so I let that one pass. He said however that they added another song to the set and it was really jamming... Burning Sky. So now I'm sorry I missed that... oh well. Edited by threefates |
