I'm down near cirencester and would happily give lifts if required but my movements (ie: time of going) might be a bit vague to family commitments earlier on Saturday.
Am very much looking forward to a weekend of quality music!!

Go by bus perhaps?
Megabus from London to Glocester at noon will set you back 5 pounds. Not too pricey with local bus from Gloucester to Lydney either I believe :-) Edited by Windhawk - October 01 2010 at 07:10 |

Hey,
Autumn is almost here and Karmakanic is almost here..... !
Is anyone driving this way and willing to take me (from London or Oxford or somewhere) for some fuel costs?
Preferably on Saturday but Friday may be possible, depends on work*
PM me please, if so
Yours hopefully and cordially

News of the Summers End Festival at Lydney Town Hall on October 8, 9, 10. Accept no imitations! www.summersend.co.uk We are delighted to announce that The Resonance Association will complete this years line up by opening the Festival on Friday 8th October. Formed in 2006 in Croydon the band is Daniel Vincent and Dominic Hemy. Their three albums - Failure Of The Grand Design , We Still Have The Stars and Clarity In Darkness have blurred the line between krautrock, progressive rock, drone, ambient, shoegaze, industrial and even apocalyptic folk. Blimey. http://tra.moonfruit.com/ Festival Co-organiser Stephen Lambe explains the reasons for the choice: We could have offered the slot to any number of conventional prog and rock bands, but given our history of throwing the audience the odd left of field act, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to stir things up a bit. The amended draft timings now look like this: Friday 8th October Doors 7pm 7.30 8.10 The Resonance Association 8.25 9.25 Tinyfish 9.45 11.15 Defence of the Realm
Doors 12noon 1 2 Haken 2.20 3.20 Ark 4.00 5.45 Unitopia 5.45 7.15 Break 7.15 Doors 7.30 11.00 Agents of Mercy / Karmakanic (will include 30 min interval) Sunday 10th October Doors 12.noon 12.30 1.30 Multifuse 1.50 2.50 Dead Heroes Club 3.20 4.50 Phideaux 4.50 6.00 Break 6.00 7.30 Sylvan 9.00 10.45 The Watch www.summersend.co.uk |

News of the Summers End Festival at Lydney Town Hall on October 8, 9, 10. The longest running and still the best.... Hi All Summer is pretty much at an end, so the countdown to the festival starts here! Tickets for all 3 days remain available at www.summersend.co.uk . Dont leave it til the last minute! First of all, we are sorry to announce that festival openers, Huws band Unto Us will be unable to play due to the unavailability of the bands keyboard player, who will be on his honeymoon! Rehearsals continue to go exceptionally well, and the band will make its live debut later in the autumn. More news of them very soon. The band will be replaced, most likely by an acoustic act, and we will announce their identity soon. Secondly, these are the draft timings for the festival. As always, please use these details as a guideline only, as they are subject to change at any time. Please note that there will be one long break only on the Saturday, for those of you planning meals! Friday 8th October Doors 7pm 7.30 8.10 TBC 8.25 9.25 Tinyfish 9.45 11.15 Defence of the Realm
Doors 12noon 1 2 Haken 2.20 3.20 Ark 4.00 5.45 Unitopia 5.45 7.15 Break 7.15 Doors 7.30 11.00 Agents of Mercy / Karmakanic (will include 30 min interval) Sunday 10th October Doors 12.noon 12.30 1.30 Multifuse 1.50 2.50 Dead Heroes Club 3.20 4.50 Phideaux 4.50 6.00 Break 6.00 7.30 Sylvan 9.00 10.45 The Watch www.summersend.co.uk |

Nope - one more to go, though I'm not quite sure when we'll get confirmation of that one, so it's actually possible we may put weekend tickets on sale before that one's sorted...
