I know! I'm in the same situation as you! Do you think Christian Vander can fill a stadium here?! :p Or maybe a little venue...But get this: I'm going to France, near where they usually play with my school WHILE THEY ARE PLAYING, but my school won't let me go. =__= I'll be crying that night, I guess.

I missed it while I live in Combs-la-Ville...
Anyway I saw another great live performance yesterday, Huongh Thanh with five different backing bands !
- the first with vietnamese musicians (eruh (chinese violin), chinese guitar (ruan) and chinese zither(guzheng) )
- the second with a french accordionist
- the third with a corean player of gomungo, a japanese player of shamisen and koto, a chinese player of eruh
- the fourth with a player of a combined electro-acoustic guitar (bass, guitar and sitar on the same guitar)
- the fifth for fans of jazz-rock with a guitarist, a percussionist, a drummer, a keyboardist/clarinetist/saxophonist

then all together on stage at the end of the show.

Probably the most eclectic concert I ever saw;

"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)

Wow, there's going to be another Tritonale! I'm happy!

Do you know any of the other bands? Hadouk Trio, We Insist! and Seven?

I think I could wait for the festival Tritonales in June. Closer to Paris, easier to find, at least for a lazybone person like me.

My boyfriend lives in Valenciennes, I would come over from the UK... You're right, Compiegne is doable but Soignies is quite easy to get to, and I love Belgium... Embarrassed Also I'm an impatient fool and want to see them in February!

I'm so sorry I didn't get to see them at Gouveia, I hope they return this year.

Oooh... smack bang in the middle of term... but I missed them last year and have been cursing myself ever since. Plus I have been waiting for the opportunity to get my boyfriend into some good music... And it is Magma.

Hmm, perhaps this is a long shot, but if anyone's going to journey to Soignies, would they be up for a petrol-splitin' carshare away afterwards, either Brussels way or towards Valenciennes? The trains don't run late enough!

Maybe they should come to State College here in PA...that'd be like the halfway point between people like me in the Pittsburgh area and people on the Philly side of the state.  Of course, if it was during the school year, I'd be there anyway. Big smile

I thought it rang a bell. It's like 70 kilometres from where I live!
Thanks for teaching me about Belgian geography :-)

Really now, I suppose there won't be any Magma concert outside France/Belgium/Luxembourg in the future more often than once a year, maybe twice.

I know, I was being sarcastic. I just think it's sad.

They really need to get their butts back to California! They haven't played here since the 80's I think.
