Being a newbie troll should never allow not to realize both forms are fine. |

Of the options I much prefer JW Black Label. There's too much prejudice against blends . I'd put up the JW Blue Label I was enjoying last week against ANY single malt I've tasted.

Glenfiddich for me - the wife bought me a bottle for Christmas! It didn't last long, though.
Single malts are a bit to pricey for me, so my usual tipple is either Bells, Grouse, Grants or Teachers. I prefer to scotch to any other kind of whisky. I find Irish Whiskey and bourbon a little to sweet for my tastes!

I voted Jim Beam (very underated), but if Grant's were on the list I'd chose that. Not very popular I must admit, but the single malt is just perfection to me.

Hey, come on everybody... I did this daft poll bleary eyed at about 4am last night. Of course I made tons of errors. And besides, I've only been legally old enough to drink since October so I'm lightyears away from being any kind of conniseur in the remotest sense.

Just to be pedantic, some of those are whiskys, not whiskeys (there is a difference) and there are so many whiskys you've missed. I normally drink Laphraoig or Brookladdie (which isn't spelled correctly).

JW Black Label by choice. I was lucky to have JW Gold and Blue label recently and for me Gold label was much nicer.
Glenlivet is nice too!

Well, I had JW Black Label yesterday and I liked it a lot. Without ice, naturally.

Hate to be difficult about this but as a Scotsman who loathes whisky but adores bourbon, you cannot lump all these critters into the 'water of life' basket matey. So-called American Rye whiskey is a completely different beastie to the tipple we distill in Scotland.
BTW People of my generation (I'm 47) in Scotland never touch whisky (it's just for tourists, wine snobs who don't like wine and the rugger fraternity) |

![]() Anyway, Highland Park 40yo (I've tasted a few days before...killa whisky!) is my favourite whisky (not 'whiskey'). Well, has toroddfuglesteg, a whisky specialist in PA, already come here? ![]() |

I'm thinking, everyone who even decides to take a look at this thread needs to listen to Asleep At The Wheel's great song, The Letter That Johnny Walker Read. And yes, it's country prog in a sideways sort of way. Here, I'll make it easy for you-Edited by jammun - December 30 2009 at 21:29 |

I dunno, but I'm thinking if you manage to have a shot of each of these you may well go comatose.
Johnny Walker had a free scotch tasting in Atlanta a few years back I went to. It was a lot of fun. Walker as a cocktail ingredient and the tasting was of single malts. Anyone ever had Johnny Black and Red Bull? ![]() Edited by Slartibartfast - December 30 2009 at 21:21 |

Johnnie Walker Black Label for me! If I could afford it I would go for the Blue Label. Superb
