Surely if this is a contest of evils, your pick should be the church of Satan.

I prefer faith above religion. To say it a bit stronger, I reject religion at all, so IMHO this is a "Best of Evils"-poll. No vote.

Ahhh the wonderful trolling.
And I do laugh at people that get freaked out at "The Church of Satan" (just in general) If only they knew what it was really...

Atheism is a religion? Yeah, we go to weekly meetings and dress up as the Pope and other religious figures and have crazy sex. Actually, that doesn't sound that bad.

Yeah, Satan's not really much of a villain if he punishes people for being evil. Surely it would make a lot more sense if he rewarded them and treated them nicely.

Presumably because it would not correlate to those who believe in 'turning the other cheek' But yep you're right, cheap jibes appear to cost less than investing in a whole belief system. PS I didn't vote. The premise of the thread is laudable enough but will (as per usual) simply attract the shrill boyish blasphemies of those still stinging from their first slap from the midwife.

Atheism is not a religion. >:(
I say worshipping the Sun is easily the best. (1) It's actually there (2) life on earth would never exist without it (3) understanding it (sun spots, solar flares, other solar phenomena) can actually help us understand the seasons and weather a little and predict slightly when draughts might occur.
Just because it's not sentient doesn't mean we can't be thankful for it.

If you're gonna do anything, worshipping the Sun seems like the most sensible.

Atheism is mentioned here too Ivan... and is losing...
I vote the Church of Satan.. if only because I have chosen to wear their insignia in my hand every day even though I believe Anton Lavey's writing are a little bit full of sh*t...
Really, DOUBT is my creed. I don't know anything nor do I claim I can ever get to know anything... maybe after I'm dead..

I'm agnostic. I don't know what the best is, but I have been attracted to Buddhist principles and Zoroastrianism.
I had an interesting experience at a Buddhist temple in Kyoto before. I really did feel strongly "connected". Shinto shrines, on the other hand, made me feel uneasy.
