Topic: Tool in Phoenix Posted: August 22 2009 at 16:06 |
The only chance I ever had to see them was at All Points West but I didn't go because I wanted to see an all Tool convert...

Saw them at All Points West and they were really good. Don't know them too well either but loved the performance.

I'm jealous man, I was hoping to see them that date in Phoenix but I was going on a trip to Albuquerque the next day (where they were playing next, also didn't work out) and the parents wanted me to stay home. Hopefully I'll see them someday soon. Good for you!

I hope they swing through Cali. I absolutely love Tool. I saw them live in LA. Easily one of the best live shows that i've been to

Yes their ambient "segue" material was some of the coolest stuff in the show.

Oh how i wish they'd come to NZ... I've seen and heard alot about their live shows and they have been one of my very fav bands for a long time. I'm happy for all who have had the pleasure though, and the setlist is'nt overly important, they could play nothin but their segue tracks and make it amazing

Last time I saw them was at download in 2006, pretty magical moment to be honest. Leeds doesn't have a 5000 + venue so to see them with the amount of fans around really made all the difference.

And to the tune of a billion dollars, I supplied to the D.O.E.

Yeah, they really are a great band live. I saw them in Cincinnati back in '07, and it was one of the greatest live experiences of my life. My only complaint about their show is sometimes Maynard gets a wild hair up his ass and decides to hide behind Adam's cabs and stop singing. It gets a bit annoying if the song in question is particularly vocal-heavy. But the light show alone is worth the ticket price, I feel. My God, what an astounding sight it is!

I saw Tool last night at the U.S. Airways arena in Phoenix, Arizona. They were absolutely outstanding. I am not familiar with all of their music so I can't give the titles of all the songs they did (of course they played Schism and Vicarious), I only have one of their CDs, but that's going to change now. I was extremely impressed. They are all excellent performers and their stage production is very cool (I haven't seen lasers since I saw Pink Floyd in '78!). Anyway, they played almost two hours of music. If they're coming to your town you should go.
