Oh come on, you are quite obviously bucking up for freebies from PT. Come to think of it, that's kind of a good idea. Edited by Slartibartfast - November 07 2009 at 06:50 |

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I've been doing everything I can to promote and support this band. I've bought their entire discography. I've hooked my dad and my brother on them. I tell friends about them. I write PT reviews on my blog.
I think they deserve to be bigger than they are. I mean, what's the difference between PT and a huge band like, say, Muse? Wilson is equally as talented. I think its because Muse have better promotion.

We are a fanatical bunch. More rabid than Rush fans.

NO! What are you saying? PT are the epitome of prog, not like those pathetic Decemberists that have made a fool out of you! |

if the group needs promotion....Steven Wilson will drop by the forum again and whip his minions into a album buying frenzy. That's how he got barely progressive... completely average albums to the top of the end of year lists here hahhah.

Good music doesn't need any volunteer to spread it!

Its strange that they only want these Street teams in the US? Probably just as many, or more PT fans up here in Canadia!!!

^ I just remember the phrase "street team" from an episode of CSI - where the street team of one gangster rapper murdered members of the street team of another, if I remember correctly.

To me a street team sounds like wearing t-shirts and giving out leaflets. But who knows.

A street team ... ROTFL. Well, as long as they don't start making hip-hop or wearing baseball caps backwards, I guess it's just something that Roadrunner insisted on.

I believe they require you to sleep with people and convince them to buy merchandise and get them to travel to shows wherever they may be. But I could be mistaken. |

What exactly does the "promotion" involve? I can't seem to find that anywhere...?

Here's hoping to be a runner-up. I'd have to figure out how to travel 1000 miles if I actually win...

Hi all Porcupine Tree fans out there, especially from the US. I received this e-mail from roadrunner records today, and got excited. Later on I realised, as a European, I can't apply, so I thought I'd give everyone else a chance, so here's it attached.
Here's the link: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/strteam/signup.aspx Hope you'll be getting the autographed copy... I wish I was |
