“This Bread Is Mine”, the third
full-length album of the Polish prog-rockers Believe, is
released in Europe today, on Monday 31st August. American fans of the band still
have to wait till 6th October (the album will be distributed by MVD).
We are revealing yet another track from
this album. You can listen to “Mine” on the official MMP’s profile on Myspace:
www.myspace.com/
“This Bread is Mine” features eleven tracks
dedicated to those who like to listen and seek sense in different sounds… The
lyrics were written by Robert Sieradzki, a dedicated friend, who is also the
author of the lyrics for Believe’s previous albums. His lyrics fit the music
perfectly and just intuitively reflect the emotions evoked by the collection of
sounds. The music itself is a result of feelings and experiences of all
Believe’s members: Mirek Gil (ex-Collage, ex-Mr. Gil, guitars), Karol Wróblewski
(vocals, flute, keyboards), Przemas Zawadzki (ex-Collage, bass guitar), Satomi
(violin), and Vlodi Tafel (drums & percussion). The guest musicians included
Paulina Druch (cello) and Bartek Zbroszczyk (guitar). The sound mix for the
album was handled by Włodek Kowalczyk, Polish producer responsible for the
completion of projects of such Polish legends as Klaus Mit Foch, Róże Europy,
Daab, Oddział Zamknięty, Dezerter, and Lady Pank. In order to get more advanced
sound quality, Believe collaborated with Andy Jackson, prominent British sound
engineer, who had worked on Pink Floyd’s and David Gilmour’s albums. His most
recent work was David Gilmour’s “Live in Gdańsk”. The album is available in two versions: as a standard CD and a
digipak CD containing a bonus track.
Believe - an outstanding art-rock act formed by
the guitarist Mirek Gil, the former leader and composer of Polish prog-rock
legend Collage. Believe’s debut album “Hope to See Another Day” (2006) received
very good reviews from both media and fans. The follow-up album entitled
“Yesterday Is A Friend” (2008) brought powerful sound full of faith and melody
and gained them many new fans. In July 2008 Metal Mind Productions released the
band’s first DVD entitled “Hope To See Another Day Live”. At the end of 2008 the
band changed their line-up. Believe has begun a new era of their career with a
new vocalist – Karol Wróblewski.

Update from Metal Mind on this one
------------------------------- The premiere of the new album by the progressive
rock band Believe is just around the corner. The band’s third
full-length album entitled “This Bread Is Mine” will be
released by Metal Mind Productions on 31st August in Europe and
6th October in USA (via MVD).
Just to give you a foretaste of the new material,
the band posted on their official Myspace site a full version of the title track
– “This Bread Is Mine”: www.myspace.com/believeartrock
Mirek Gil: "The guitar riff
is the quintessence of this track. I think I do not have to add how important
the riff was in the history of rock music. You know – Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd
and so on… It was the riff that showed the direction for the track “This Bread
Is Mine”. I think it is a key element of this song.”
Believe promotes the new album “This Bread Is
Mine” with the title track and the choice was not accidental. As the band says
this track not only best represents the content of the album but it also
emphasizes the possible breaking point in the band’s musical
career.
Karol Wróblewski: "I do hope
this track will let you feel the essence of yourself and will let you see all
the elements that are shaping you. Just like I discovered them for myself
co-writing this song. You need to discover yourself if these are bad or good
elements”.
Believe’s current
line-up:
Karol Wróblewski - vokal
Mirek Gil – guitars (ex-Collage, ex-Satellite) Przemas Zawadzki – bass guitar (ex-Collage, ex-Satellite) Satomi - violin Vlodi Tafel – drums (ex-Mr.Gil) Guest musician:
Paulina Druch (cello) |

More news on this one courtesy of Metal Mind:
----------------------------------------------------------------- As recently announced, Metal Mind Productions
will release a brand new studio album by the Polish prog-rock band
Believe. Their third album entitled “This Bread is
Mine” features eleven tracks dedicated to those who like to listen and
seek sense in different sounds…
Believe: “Will you be able
to find the hidden message behind the title…? Or maybe you will start pondering
over your place in this world, where you struggle to earn your daily ‘bread’ and
keep your current position? What that ‘bread’ will turn out to be for you? Is
your existence true unlimited freedom? Maybe you will come to the conclusion
that everything that you have seen so far is just an illusion resulting from
your pain? What will you decide to choose: The reality just as it is or your own
path to a better future? Just put on This Bread is Mine and listen to the
musical message from Believe.”
The lyrics for “This Bread Is Mine” were written
by Robert Sieradzki, a dedicated friend, who is also the author of the lyrics
