Material for Fusion - Progressive Rock Music Forum

I hereby suggest Bill Laswell's project Material for inclusion in the archives on the grounds of their album Hallucination Engine (1993). Material's lineup for Hallucination Engine includes such artists as Weather Report's Wayne Shorter, Parliament Funkadelic's Bernie Worrell & Bootsy Collins, Shakti violinist L. Shankar, long time John McLaughlin & Shawn Lane collaborator Jonas Hellborg, world famous tabla player Zakir Hussain, & studio percussionist Aïyb Dieng. The music is very informed by jazz and world music, resulting in a sound not unlike that of Weather Report.
