True! I believe that someone else did it, I think the reason was that the floyd were under imense pressure to get the album out as soon as possible and David just couldnt play this that well so they brought in another guitarist so they could get it down. Although David is a brilliant guitarist lets never forget that technicaly he isnt.
Voted mood for a day but THE CLAP is better |

Classical Gas was written by Mason Williams, not Jan Akkerman! My personal vote goes to Horizon, but al of these songs are absolutely awesome! |

Out from the songs listed there, a tasty classical sound not mentioned yet (with steel strings guitar) is The Sage from Greg Lake in Pictures of an exibition. Another little preciousness is Peace a Theme from mr Fripp in The wake of Poseidon.

It´s not like it is my favorite...but it has not been mentioned...and frankly I can´t think right know of a better and more original piece of guitar work ...so I am gonna say Sailor´s Tales by mr. Fripp...in King Crimson of course... |

My vote goes to Hackett but deep in my heart I'd say PFM's majestic "Appena un po" (from the album Per un amico). |

My vote goes to Blood on the Rooftops. That's probably my favourite song to play on classical guitar.

Hello, Paco and Multitudinario. Earlier this year, a jazz guitarist named Andrés Olaegui (born in Puerto de Sta. María - Cádiz, of course) released an album called "Como Niños", full of excellent jazz with flamenco touches. He used to be one of the two guitarists in the band Guadalquivir, back in the late 70s. His website is located here: http://www.andresolaegui.net/ Recommended -- pure talent from Southern Andalusia. Oh, by the way, Steve Stevens played some damn good flamenco stuff in both Bozzio Levin Stevens albums. Regards. Edited by Cesar Inca |

A lovely intro of high quality is on the first UK Album (UK, without
further title): the song is called "Evermore". Alan Holdsworth is
playing classical guitar as an intro to the following artistic fight
between him and Eddy Jobson on keyboards (synth, org. etc). It's a
savourish track of music.

Hello to everybody! I´m new in this forum. Please, forgive for my english, I know it´s very bad.
I´m from Cadiz too, Paco. I was born in Algeciras and now I live in Madrid. It´s a great surprise to meet prog lovers from Andalucia. Well, for me the best piece of guitar are: - The end section of the Ancient (from Tales). - Mood for a day. Edited by multitudinario |
