Dear Admin. Group and Atavachron,

The Benefit Concert is in the U.S.A. Maryland at the Maryland State Fair Grounds 2:00-7:00pm. and will likely run later as  we all know  "musical time floats"
If there is anything else I can answer do let me know, and there is a web-site with all kinds of information about the day  www.whitakergiftfoundation.com

Thank you so very much for keeping up in your positive "prayer"

Love to the Prog,. community, together we will all get Stanley well
Please circulate information.
LeeAnne

Good to hear from you again LeeAnne.  As I stated in your last thread, I send you and Stanley my very best.  He and HtM were a very important band in my early appreciation of prog, particularly from the U.S., and it's good to know he is in such loving hands.

Hi LeeAnne,

Please pass on our best wishes to Stanley, it must be a tough time for you both.

Could you clarify the location of the gig for us please (town, country?).

Many Thanks and good luck.

Hello Wonderful Prop Community,

This is LeeAnne Whitaker writing into you with some ideas/news maybe both

Most of you may know that my husband Stanley Whitaker  formerly Happy The Man, currently Oblivion Sun is battling two types of cancer.
The first is a rare form called Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma and then a second blow and diagnosis, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
He is doing remarkably well considering continuous aches and pains, in addition to burns in his mouth and on his face. His spirit remains intact and beautiful.
He recently wrote a new song; for Oblivion Sun (his new -ish group) after searching for items he is able to eat (head and neck radiation severely affects the tongue and salivary glands)  we found the winner to  be Progresso's Cream of Mushroom Soup. We are getting many laughs out of the fact that of course his brand of choice would be Progresso. Anyway, The song is called; March of the Mushroom Men. What a guitar hook that mesmerizes and stays with you, you just find yourself humming it.

Please consider going to www.whitakergiftfoundation.com to purchase tickets for:
Stand For Stanley a Benefit Concert  and A Day of Music and Kindness to raise funds for his mounting medical expenses.

The volunteers all are wondering who will travel the most miles we have some interesting distances in the running. You could plan to attend,  make an appreciated donation, or the easy on the wallet way, that we surely understand. You can purchase raffle tickets for the following and many other awesome prizes.
You need not be in attendance to win.
.
Famed Guitar Maker Paul Reed Smith will be there as a friend has donated a signed SE custom guitar to a raffle winner  and psst..Stanley has reached his health goal of being strong enough to play electric with Oblivion Sun and psst.. plans to ask Paul to come up and jam a bit.

Kevin Brubaker;  of Brubaker Bass has donated a completely handmade  gorgeous bass

Well,  I simply don't want to leave any stone out here unturned to help assist Stanley.

If you are unable to do any of the above suggestions or if you have been able to do any of the above suggestions and still feel like doing something fun and helpful :

Please sign Stanley's Caring Bridge guest book, These messages are his holistic fuel
www.caringbridge.org/visit/stanleywhitaker Tell him what piece of his music you be playing in your CD player on the day of the event. It will be fun for him to hear the answers and perhaps we'll see which songs get the most requests.

Much love and light to each of you &  Please Circulate this those you feel will be interested or any related thread. I thank y ou
LeeAnne
