I like it! Big smile The idea is a lot of fun and you can definately hear that you guys are capable of playing a good song!

I do think this could benefit from a multi tracked recording (Guitars sound pretty good already but the flute seems to be a bit out of balance on my speakers, but maybe that's just me) and perhaps a bit more harmonizing on the vocals could be the ingredient to top it of. But nonetheless, a very funny song! Big smile Keep me updated when you have more!

Thanks a lot for checking it out!

Yeah it basically was a live take with a condenser mic for the voals and tin whistle and the guitars crowded around an instrument mic trying not to move for fear of messing the levels up.   Although we intend to make more progressive stuff in the future we weren't going for prog on this song, just a fun song, like you said.

This song was fun, and you guys played pretty tight for what sounded like a live take with everyone sitting around a mic almost. The lyrics could go somewhere but right now they're just unfinished. The flute is cool, and the musicianship is not bad for a very homemade recording. Not really prog, promising start.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

HEy, I recently started a band called Rock of the Potato with a few friends of mine.  Mostly we just got together and jammed around a bit, but a few days ago we recorded our first song, and plan to record at least one more on thursday.  I was hoping some people here could give me some constructive criticism and tell me what they think of the song.  I personally am proud of the song, even though it's not quite prog.  We hope to write more progressive stuff in the future.
