Filoritmia release new album

“Passaggi”, the new music project by the band from Milan, is ready. After
successfully experimenting the web-distribution of their first record in
2001, Filoritmia go further: in www.filoritmia.it a new song will be
published every month … a new track every month which can be
downloaded with a free donation … or even free of charge!
Save the date! Wednesday, October the 8th 2008 the first two tracks:
“Colla e gesso” and “Senza Sale”.

2008 is an important year for Filoritmia. The five musicians are back with a new project
which, actually, they have been working on for more than two years.
After the first CD and several live concerts which had preceded and followed its
publication, the band took a two-year break in 2003. In 2005 they joined together once
again to work on this project with new strength and awareness, both favoured by several
individual musical experiences.

The title of the new album itself, Passaggi, expresses idea of total communication
which has always been the root of Filoritmia’s approach to music. No labels, no
exclusive mark of a genre or of a particular tradition. Yet, the awareness that influences
are many and inevitable. Each musician brings them within himself and he pours them
into the tracks of the band, no one and nothing is pure and definitive. Passaggi are the
multiple experiences, be them conscious be them unconscious, that mark one’s life,
one’s tastes, one’s personality. Passaggi represents the eternal movement which lies
within any creative moment, any inspiration in art.
At the beginning Passaggi will be published only in the web: one track a month … until
April 2009!

First “save the date” is for October the 8th in www.filoritmia.it, when two ew special
tracks will be released: Colla e gesso e Senza Sale.
Colla e gesso is a powerful rock song with intense and sharp lyrics: “Life is a matter of
choices. Who is not strong enough to choose, he lives a poor irrelevant life, as if he was
floating in the sea of other people’s imagery … Significance of things disappears”.
Much sweeter is the intro of Senza Sale. Soon the tracks develops little by little into a
much stronger and harder sounding atmosphere. Love without the recognition of
somebody else except the lover isn’t worth being felt. Love has got thousands of
flavours, but “unsalted” is definitively the worse.

www.filoritmia.it is the new website of the band. Everything has been
designed with the sole intent of a much closer sharing of experiences
(musical and more) with the audience. Every track has got its own story, an
emotional and imaginative background on its own. In other words, every
track has got an homepage to be discovered and enriched by the
audience...

Filoritmia web showcase features many original sections:
The Suona con noi area (Play with us) gives anyone the chance to download a special
track (one for each released song) where one instrument (bass, drum, keyboards or
guitar) has been cancelled.
Each song has got a special blog for comments and direct feed-back from the audience
… And many more …

Every month in www.filoritmia.it a new track of the new album, Passaggi, will be
publish for download, together with the full music track, lyrics, instrumental tracks,
music papers and even some funny studio experiences in video or audio files.
Any song by Filoritmia is a world on its own and each webpage talks to the audience
about this world and the band wants to share it totally.
Of course, all the tracks (only the published one ...) can be selected, downloaded and
included in a personalised play-list which can be then suggested to other web-navigators
in the special “my play-list” section.
Only those who download decide the price of the music and its value …
