They're doing a gig on Malmöfestivalen in Malmö, Sweden (duh!) on the 22th of August, it's free too (meaning half the crowd won't even know what band's playing).

Can anyone tell me about the Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Mo.  This is probably where I will take my son to see Opeth.  Since I am over the big 50 I will need a place to sit.  I have info that there is some seating and the rest is general admission.  Does anyone know what the seating and show area is like there?  Thanks and Cheers!

Wasn't BTBAM at the last show because they were all playing an off-date on the Prog Nation tour? It's interesting that you say "kiddies who like metalcore," because other than the fact that "kiddies" couldn't possibly appreciate the intricacies of the group, my friend told me that most of the Ozzfest crowd hated them because they weren't always playing metal/hardcore stuff.

Still. the Annoying breakdowns get to me. And if you haven't been to a simple BTBAM concert, theres a large metalcore audience around.

BTBAM's first album is pure metalcore Dead. I hate it. I very much enjoy Colors and Alaska though. The Silent Circus is alright.

It says so just under "US Tour" in the opening post.

They were leagues better than Arch Enemy, Three Inches of Blood and Devil Driver when I sw them on the Defenders of the Faith tour in May, definitely going to see them in November at the Academy.
Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

I really don't like BTBAM at all, and it seems to me they were chosen for the north american tour to appeal to the kiddies who like metalcore.

HOF is an interesting choice since they are considerably more lo-fi and sludgy than Opeth, but they do good work and it'll be an interesting show.
Nachtmystium is pretty extreme from what I understand, but so far I haven't been able to locate enough of their work to really get into it, though I've heard lots of good things from people I trust on the subject.
Baroness is just great great great all around.  Seriously.  Get the Red Album.  I guess if I see the cleveland date, I'll be seeing Nachtmystium, which is cool because I've already seen Baroness.

Mhmm, I liked from what I heard from 3 when I heard their studio albums and when I saw them live. They were f**king amazing Clap. Especially in the initimate settings they were playing at, plus I got them to signed me their poster Smile.

BTBAM never really appealed to me as long as there are those annoying breakdowns, followed by more breakdowns Confused

I've seen Baroness before, since they opened for Witchcraft, which they put on an excellent performance, I would love to see them again.

Nachtmystium are sort of an interesting band. They play sort of Black Metal with clear psychedelic and Pink Floyd influences. Should be interesting seeing them live, but of course, the band I really want to see here is Opeth Embarrassed

I don't mind a prog band opening for Opeth, especially if they are a good one, but yeah I can see how you'd prefer a heavier band live.

I'm going to check out those bands and see if I can confirm that statement (for myself), because I enjoy Three very much and I absolutely love Between the Buried & Me.

BTBAM destroys all of those opening acts, at least as far as musical quality goes.

Hopefully I'll be able to make one of those dates. Seeing them play for only an hour at Prog Nation (not that I'm complaining; the show was phenominal) left me wanting more.
