Very tough decision. My favorite 3 are Space Oddity, Scary Monsters and Aladin Sane. In the end I went with Space Oddity, as it was the first Bowie album I purchased. And 20 years and hundreds of listens later it still holds up as a masterpiece.

Aladdin Sane noses it ahead of Ziggy and Hunky Dory
Space Oddity is still the song that gets me though ... have spent whole days listening to that single track

I guess I am the only one who voted for Black Tie ... ironic melancholy set to hip jazzy beats, I think a lot of people missed out on this one. I also like Man Who Sold the World, Low, Scary Monsters and others.

I absolutely love The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars! And I can listen to Heroes again and again. Those two are my favourites.

I'm glad to see David included in PA
My favorite Bowie albums 1) Scary Monsters (genius from start to finish, and includes the masterpiece Teenage Wildlife, prog anyone?) 2) Station To Station (what's that? post-glam proggy rock with bits of plastic soul?, how does he do that?) 3) Heathen (or "Bowie strikes back", moody, emotional, not a single filler included) 4) Ziggy Stardust (a classic, and is not restricted to the tipical glam rock formula) 5) Low (sounds (& visions ) fresh and creative even today, how many can accomplish such a thing?) Other strong albums by the duke to me are Hunky Dory, Alladin Sane, Black Tie White Noise and ...hours And I must say I haven't listened to Diamond Dogs in it's entirety yet |

Aladdin Sane, closely followed by Ziggy Stardust.
Those are the only two albums I can listen to in their entirety. Not a big fan of the Berlin Trilogy. Usually if I wanna hear that sound I'll listen to Fripp & Eno or a Brian Eno solo album. I'd rather remember Bowie for his glam period. |

I can't choose, it's usually a three way tie between Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold the World, and Low for me.
