There is none more perfect than the sweet heaven-send of taste from a Chocolate Chip Cookie. A simple, and perfect piece of food.

You mean blackbottom cupcakes? Love'em! It's a hard choice but cookies will still be good and crunchy after a few days (if well-sealed), muffins are best fresh-baked but not as much the next day

Muffins, preferable Jaffa muffins or just orange/banana flavoured. They're brand new thing on a Croatian market now(!), but I got addicted a few years ago, while I was living in Ireland.

Muffin is like a chocolate flavoured sushi roll!! And a cookie is the crumbs left behind after visiting a web site

I think the best cookie would beat the best muffin but the majority of muffins beat the majority of cookies. Therefore, mufFUNS

Technically muffins and cookies are both types of cake, as they both go hard when stale. so in a sense, if it were to be proud english we'd be comparing cakes with cakes doesn't really work. and i think a muffin is like a giant cupcake, just with more fat and baked differently. we must honour our transatlantic cousins though: they make darn good food.

Cookies. They're better for dunking in your tea!
That said, give me an Apple and Cinnamon Muffin anytime..

By the way, many of us are familiar with Zappa's Muffin Man. I'm trying to think of any prog songs revolving around cookies...

I've always been a 'cake' person, both as an eater and as a baker, so I voted for muffins. I can't wait to move to the US, where muffin tins can be found much more easily and cheaply than here, so I'll be able to use my numerous muffin recipe books and bake up a storm!
