fans, unite!!!... or even if you've heard a few tracks, let us discuss...
my experiences with them takes me aaaall the way back about 3 years ago, i was on prog.arch, looking through the prog.metal top 20. list of best albums, and one day i saw this album called "the mantle"
so, i got her, didnt have any expectations, gave it a quick listen, straight away i hated it, month or 2 passed, listend again, hated it even more, another few months pass, tried it again, hated it...this went on and on for a year or so, then i didnt try it for ages, year later i tried it again and found it interesting enough, a while later i tried it again, i started getting into it. few days pass i listend to it again and im starting to really like it,
fast forward a few months and it had became possibly one'a my top fav. albums ever
so here i was thinking now im a huge agalloch fan, so i went and pale folklore...and, just like before...HATED IT, didnt even give it a chance, complety gave up on it, so i went back to mantle
fast forward again, i decided to try they're latest album, ashes against the grain, tried it, and f**king LOVED Limbs, then it started going into a pale folklore direction so straight away i gave up
now, fast forward to about 1 month ago, and now i really like both pale and ashes against, the only thing stopping me from loving them is the sh*tty vocals which are just beyond sh*t, and i know some of you would love that sort'a thing, but they just aint for me,
anyway, then fastforward to about 2 weeks ago and i got "the white EP" and fell in love with it, it showed such an amazing side to agalloch, so now i really like these guys
so whats your journey to agalloch like, or to those who dislike them, share your opinions and out-look on them?
(side note: i watched a live video of agalloch, and when i saw and heard the lead singer talk normally to the crowd it made me hate him even more, hes just some punk ween'e kid with the softest of voices, it just churn'd my butter the wrong way, anyway, continue....)
