yeah, those are many great Heavy Rock bands in my book, Bedemon is mindblowing for how heavy they were for their time, Metamorfosi sort of sticks out like a sore thumb on that list though, haha!

You like old school doom, I see, and that's like one of the two types of metal nobody should be ashamed of listening to.
SO YOU'RE COOL

We've got one in common. (other than the obvious Led Zeppelin).
But from what I can tell, most of those bands you listed are hard rock or metal, not prog.

Well, I love Metamorfosi, but of all you've listed, Comus (mentioned in your last post) is my favourite (I also like High Tide very much), and indeed it would be a desert island pick.
I must admit that there are quite a few I'm not familiar with, but I'm generally not so much into the hard rock/ heavy metal scene but there are a number of modern Prog/ Metal hybrids I do like very much (more avant rock oriented ones like Hoyry-Kone and Estradasphere). From your list sorry, but I only like and I love Deep Purple, Led, Sabbath.
Then I like Ac/Dc, Alice Cooper (early era), Uriah Heep, Atomic Rooster, Trapeze, Rainbow, Motorheads (debut only lol), Nazareth, Ram Jam and more. If you're a Deep Purple lover like me, you should definitly try out Atomic Rooster Death Walks Behind You it's totally massive. |

What? You don't like PRIEST??? Yeah I like SOME IRON BUTTERFLY, SOME ALICE COOPER, and SOME URIAH HEEP. Not all their music is essential.
I thought this forum was into more obscure bands? I've always come here to look stuff up every now and again, only now I decided to join the forum.

What I find a major turn off is these new Prog/Metal hybrid bands.....
Sorry, I won't say crap anymore.
And I agree, the site does offer a wider selection of Prog, not just what I offer in my store, but I'm not rich and I only get what I can afford to for my store, so I try to get the best, but sometimes I strike out.

A curious way to introduce yourself indeed ...
I don't know what you exactly define as crap, Shadow Kingdom. This site represents the complete spectrum of the Progressive Rock genre - not only what is offered by your store ... Nevertheless - welcome to the Forum |

Welcome Shadow Kingdom. I suppose you will find some similar minds here, as a far as the bands listed are concerned.
As for the last remark in your post - with an introduction like that you are bound to discover quite a few opposed minds as well. Constructive and motivated critisism are appreciated, so feel free to be more specific, but keep it these two keywords in mind. |
