I agree with Claude, Symphonic, not as spectacular as most French bands but Symphonic, lets wait for Guigo and Eric.

I think that they would fit in with Symphonic. The lack of 10 minute suites, and overt mellotronisms will displease the purists. But I agree that more than a few of these tracks would fit in well on some Ange albums from the 70s, especially Guet Apens.
Which is not to say that Francis Decamps has matched the songwriting of that era, just that they should be a relatively easy sell for our Symph team. I just wish that their website offered a download option. 20 euros plus 5 for shipping translates into $50-60CAD. If I had that amount available, I could clear out the rest of the used prog LPs that I want at Spin-It ($4 a pop, avg.)

Unless we finally set up that prog sub-genre " French Theatrical prog" Tongue

Ivan... it's yours if you want them... if not...  they are prog enough...  and not Italian enough to fit in RPI LOL so we'll add them in Xover and make up some bullsh*t about being a Symphonic/pop crossover.

cheers bro... your call... I'll take them if you pass on them.

Not sure, even when leaning towards Symphonic.

Need more time.

Sounds like Symphonic to me. Four out of six of their tracks on MySpace would not be out of place on a 70's Ange album.

I quite like what I've heard, even though I do believe going for the Ange sound might be a risk, especially since Suzan is no Christian Decamps.
Bigger on the inside.

Rejected for Eclectic by Moris and myself, but Rico was discussing it with Xover, and of course they looked into it too.  Listening again to refresh my memory (more tracks now I think?), I think it worthy of the archives.  It generally sounds more progressive and better than I remembered.  Very enjoyable mostly.  Nice folk elements.  Hopefully some more people will chime in on the music.  I'd think Xover might be good for it, but, of course, it's that team's call.

A plain reject, or a move? Not pushing - just making sure.

The Eclectic team evaluated it and rejected it.

That allowance may remain a wet dream even after 9 months, Micky, but is there anyone who has taken the time to evaluate this band?

hahahha...  goes along with trying to judge a band.. based on samples of samples.   Those myspace tracks sound like demos...  when we first eval'd it I recommended waiting till someone was able to get ahold of a full album.
