the hoover feature works, but it only displays post time.. it would be helpful if it also showed the member that posted I've also missed being able to see the first few words of a post, but frankly I think it's probably not necessary |

M@x and Phil have been very busy working on the issues raised. Here's some of the details, M@x's comments in bold. Where he asks for more info, could someone please post a detailed descrition of the issue here, and it will be looked at :
- 10 Latest Posts missing Done , in the WHATS GOING ON zone (small but present ;-) - member's reviews link in Member Profile missing Done - problem with diacritics (the char-set seems to have been changed to ISO-Latin, rather than UTF-8, which is causing the bug ) Already fixed , if not, please link a post with problem diacritics ... - bug in Active Posts (from Rico's post) ? I don't understand this one .. is it still buggy ? - errors with the Search Feature bringing members to a Server Error in Forum Application page (from ManWithHat's post) Done, the small popup search is removed, and they can only search in SUBJECT - Email Notification Subject line too long for some (from Darqdean's post) Done, I switch words in subject to have relevant subject words at the begingin of subject - more contrast in color settings; i.e. locks, etc. (from Angelo's post) Later if complaints persists , ok ? - font should be changed back to Aerial (from MikeEnRegalia's post) Done - 'Hover' feature missing from last posts ??? I need more details on this one - problem with hyperlink toolbar button when replying to posts (from ClemOfNazareth's post) ??? I need more details on this one - new Thread page numbers not turning purple as before (from Geck0's post) Done - adds appearing right under first page posts rather than at bottom That is correct, I will keep it that way for some time ...and KingCrimson776 mentions a problem with the Edit Post bar, reporting that the options bar goes behind the quote box ??? I need more details on this one Plus "The quick search isn't working ... there's always a timeout error when I try to search. I guess M@x should limit the search to topics / exclude search in posts, as he did in the previous forum version. Also, if at all possible, the search display should be set to "topics" by default. " Done, I switch words in subject to have relevant subject words at the begingin of subject Edited by Easy Livin - January 29 2008 at 15:17 |

I understand, I just wish it was different. Is this M@X's official view, cause he put it back when the big change was done? |

It's too taxing on the server Rico. If someone does such a search, everone else using the site suffers.

The search function has lost again the option of searching within messages.

It's great. Thanks for re-introducing such a useful feature.
Of course, it *would* be extra nice if it didn't take up so much room... o;) |

appreciation? ...I'll show you some appreciation
yes....great.. give a piece of candy to the kids... and yet take away the damn search through the message body option. Yes.. thanks a hell of a lot. How's that for appreciation Never mind someone trying to find what someone might have said through the day...catch mentions of a group or subject... or to catch if someone had something to say to you in a post. whoot... my nipples are hard in response to seeing the 10 recent posts back....if you had at least limited it to prog discussion and topic only... you might have even got an errection from me. Now the kids can follow their pointless social threads hahhaha. appreciation? Yes.... Have some clappies... for the facebook of prog... progarchives |
