1 Chronicles 13:7-9
Then David and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals, and with trumpets.

I voted for Fear of a Blank Planet. It is a great release and probably in my top 3 PT albums ever.

I don't know what's so great about Porcupine Tree's Fear Of The Blank Planet(I do think it's a great album) but they don't really go beyond the boundaries to the music they make.If you really wanna make a good album you have to go beyond the usual standars. It's really hard for me to determine which was the best album of 2007 since I think a lot have great potentialto be. In any case I voted for Between The Buried And Me-Colors. This album really surprised me. Something that Fear Of The Blank Planet failed to do.

After listening to Oceansize's "Frames", I definitely would vote for it.
But my favorite 2007 was Ulver's "Shadows of the Sun".

I love the CD. I love Rush. But honestly, it isn't all that Proggie. For that reason, I have to go with PT.

PT's FoaBP, then Colors.
But where are Oceansize's Frames and Anekdoten's A Time if Day? I would have probably voted for one of them if they were on the list.

I picked Colors because it's the only one I can almost stand from that list...

While a good, interesting and adventurous album, I'm not sure it amounts to other fabulous releases from this year. But it is very much worth while to get it.

I'm still worrying that the best prog album of 2007 was one I didn't manage to hear. I wish I had followed up on my interest in Roz Vitalis. =( Did anyone else disregard or forget an album like I did?

It's a tie between In Rainbows and Doomsday Afternoon.
