this photo dates back to 1999/2000. they had a much publicised reunion as MATES, not as band members, at some lounge at heathrow airport coinciding with the release of the “turn it on again“-compilation and the subsequent re-recording of “carpet crawlers“ for the millennium.
nobody panic. |
Yea I just ran across this photo and posted it for the amusement factor; I wasnt insinuating it was a full-fledged reuinion.

That's a nice picture! I agree with others..Tony is smiling:) Fantastic!! I don't think there will be a reunion tour. Gabriel didn't want to do lamb lies..The others rehearsed it, but he said "no thanks". That's too bad I think, Collins did a great job on the drums this year, but his voice wasn't that good. They had to transpose all of the songs.

perhaps Ant hasn't been included on the Tony Banks Christmas card list? I imagine Ant and Silver have to feel a little awkward, maybe a bit intimidated around these guys they used to know that have become huge "pop stars", they seem like very 'down to earth' guys...I don't know how they'd relate to Phil "Sussudio" Collins

Phillips looks downright p*ssed. And Silver looks like someone hit him where it really hurts. He has that incredulous "I can't believe you just hit me there" coupled with pain look on his face.

^ooh that was harsh ...I'm sure they could pull off some Trespass stuff but they may need to bring back John Mayhew because Phil might not be able to handle some of those tricky fills
btw, I just noticed that Tony is....he's smiling damnit! My God, I don't think he's done that since 1986...could be wrong though, it might have been when Steve left.
edit: micky you tricky devil, you beat me to it......that's what I get for grabbing a glass of water, mid-post
