It's understandable, since he plays the nothing, nothing at all.

this has indeed been done a lot of times before. let us go for something completely different:
Pierre Moerlen: drums, tuned and untuned percussion, keyboards Christian Vander: drums, piano, vocals Mani Neumeier: drums, assorted percussion, kalimba, vocals
now that would have been interesting indeed

Guitar, Pedal Steel & Vocals: David Gilmour Acoustic Guitar: Steve Hackett Bass: Jaco Pastorius Keys: Rick Wright Sequencers, loops and other strange noises: Terry Riley, or Paul "Wix" Wickens Vocals and Drums: Phil Collins Drums: Bill Bruford
Songwriting: Everyone Production and Engineering: Alan Parsons and Bob Ezrin Covers: I would say Roger Dean, but it doesn't quite fit with the lineup in my mind, so Storm Thorgerson.
Would probably mainly do long instrumentals and soundscapes, and maybe a few quirky songs.

I call it WTF:
Fred Frith--Prepared guitar, communism Lemmy--Bass, facial hair Ian Anderson--Winds, vocals, lewd gestures involving a flute Mike Portnoy--Drumming all over everything, destroying subtlety, eating babies Edgar Froese--Sequencers, stage presence Mikael Akerfeldt--Growling, guitar Ravi Shankar--Sitar, spiritual guidance The Mascara Snake--Bass clarinet, being fast 'n' bulbous Brian Eno--Twisting knobs, pretending to contribute Robert Fripp--Guitar, making people quit

And
Ian - the failure
|
How could I forget:
Ian--Shred guitar even though Eno turned his amp off; making Akerfeldt's vocals sound listenable; failing.

This band wins at being the best band ever.
