interesting lists  Paolo Clap

in my book (for what it's worth..  the first four KR are spot on... espcially Yeti.... just finishing up a listen of it now.

not a fan of Alphataurus, would sub Zarathrustra, that album should be in every prog fans collection  ...and would have Uomo di Pezza for Le Orme.. but  the rest... ClapLOLWink

I haven't heard all the albums you have in electronic  there... but of the ones that I have.  Zeit is frickin amazing.. love that album.  I did hear the Baffo Banfi you had there...  and it just didn't grab me.  Then again, electronic is one of my weakest subs as far as what I have....and like. Always been more a rock and roller at heart LOL

This is how I define Symphonic for the moment:

YES - Close to the Edge
ELP - Welcome Back My Friends....
Camel - Snowgoose
Focus - Hamburger Concerto
Genesis - Selling England By the Pound
YES - Tales From Topographic Oceans
Steve Hacket - Voyage of the Acolyte
Grobschnitt - Solar Music Live
Harmonium - Si On Avait Besoin D'une Cinquieme Saison
Anglagard - Hybris
After Crying - haven't decided which album

They're all pretty much in the top 100 and I think they represent what I think are the most important specific (the "Classical" core of ELP, the tight interplay of Gensis, the overblown extravaganza on Tales) and non-specific (like the "space" of Grobschnitt, "avant" of After Crying, the "neo" of the second symphonic wave, the eclectism and heavyness of Anglagard, the "folk" side on Harmonium) traits of Symphonic Prog.

The Wall is NOT "close" to Symphonic. If this band was submitted and it's only album was The Wall, the Symphomic Team wouls send it further to Crossover for evaluation Wink
