Topic: Name top 3 non prog and top 3 prog. Posted: October 12 2007 at 11:04 |
prog: dream theater, rush, yes
non-prog: sonata arctica, the cure, faith no more
looking at those lists, it seems really random, oh well. they're really subject to change any time though, it's just dependent on my moods and that's what i'm liking at the moment.

Prog. Camel, Porcupine Tree, Enchant.
Non Prog. Insomnium, Immortal, Thin Lizzy.
A top ten would be more realistic, but that could be classed as being indecisive.

Would you like to watch TV, or get between the sheets, or contemplate the silent freeway, would you like something to eat?

Well that's fine, I certainly don't expect everyone to enjoy a death metal band, a nerdy-as-hell rock-opera project, or faerie music ;p
edit: strange how a genesis fan wouldn't be able to stand marillion though, in their good days (first three albums) they were practically a clone of them

Prog:
Ayreon Death Marillion
Non-prog:
Acid Bath Avantasia Strapping Young Lad
note that a lot of people consider SYL and Avantasia to be prog-metal (though fascinatingly enough they were rejected by progarchives =[ )

Is there any other lineup? Uh, metaphysically of course. I mean, there's like 80 other lineups. And don't even get me started on Deep Purple...
