Learn your Dom 7th chords with altered notes such as flat or plus 9, flat or plus 5, as well as minor 7th chords with a major 7.

It's this tuesday and the audition is composed of two parts - playing chords as written on a jazz score and then a blues solo in Bb (cake). i just need to know the chords and i'll be alright.

When's your audition activetopics? I'm sure everybody means well but essentially everybody's advice boils down to "Learn Absolutely Everything". That's all well and good but not very practical if you have to audition in a week or so. If you know your 7ths you should be fine. Are you playing solo or with an ensemble? If it's with a group, just follow the rhythm and try to be musical. Don't worry if you don't know a chord. If it's Am13 and you don't know that, play Am or Am7. It's good enough for now. Learn it the "right" way later on. Good luck with the audition.

Even better, do it the old-fashioned way and learn pieces.

If you can trot out a few numbers, especially your own interpretations, you'll have far more real jazz credibility than if you can simply trot out some learned techniques.

Slot the techniques around the playing - not the other way around.
The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Don't learn chords learn scales!!!!!

Make sure you know all major and minor (harmonic and melodic) and understand modes (this might help http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_mode) and just practise.
Sit and play....go busking if you have to  learing chords won't help you if you don't know scales.

Good Luck Mate!!

You might want to learn some 13th chords as well.

Learn all of them. Shortly though, they'll prolly be asking for you to play some standards, so you should be quite well there with dim chords, 9s and 6s along with the ones you mentioned. I don't know how much competition you have in your school, but generally knowing the keys and the scales works fine.
