Thanks for the feedback, I actually have a friend working on the guitar parts.
Damn it does sound a little similar to Finally Free. Notes aren't the same but the lead guitar part. Errrr I don't know what I would change though! How would you change it?

Man, the song would sound great if it's played with real instruments. Really dynamic, tight and full. You might want to change the guitar riff around minute 2, it's identical to a riff from Dream theater (Finally Free)
Now my song seems a bit simple :P . Well, I did it in less than 10 hours ;) |

People still seem to be having problems downloading it... Try this link
If that doesn't work try www.myspace.com/populationoverride
I wouldn't recommend that though, because there was a recording problem. The clean jazzy guitar part after the piano interlude in the middle is a little bit slower than it should be.

I think it sounds pretty good. You shouldn't change a thing... other than having it played by real people ;-) Well, maybe I'd play a more "Phantom of the Opera"-like drum pattern in the part that starts around 3:33.
No, I see what you've done. I write all my music in MIDI format too, hoping one day to have the time to record it with "real" instruments. Edited by Time Signature - September 15 2007 at 04:43 |

Can you export the file into real midi format so those who don't have GuitarPro may play it? |

I've been working on this for the past few days. It really gave me a headache, but I think I really got something now that you all might enjoy. I used Guitar Pro to write it (sorry no band!), so all the instrumentation is MIDI. In otherwords it sounds like video game music. I'd appreciate any feedback though, especially from all the prog minds! So if you have time take a look and let me know what you think! Thanks!
