Ok, now you lost me :) anyway, an 'official' one would make it possible for people to visit it more often and randomly without having to look it up always.

It used to work before.  Just do it the same way I did, that should work.

oh. you might want to do it manually, there are hundreds of thousands of IRC servers out there (although I tried to pick one of the big ones.)

...or, more likely, we need an official channel using some other means.

No idea, I just typed in my name and selected "Other" as the channel and typed in progarchives.

anyone can make an irc channel just by joining an empty one on a server... I went to Zagreb.HR.Eu.UnderNet.org using an IRC client and typed /join #progarchives, and now it exists.

Of course, it'd be neater if we had one which was official.

We had some fun with it but it's not the same as the VR or listening to threads...

It could be a giggle, and it would probably clear-out the VR and "what's in your CD player" threads for a while - though in my experience they soon degenerate into a clique of in-jokes and silliness... Ermm ... why does that sound familiar?
What?

Hi

I've been wondering for a while, why is there no irc channel for progarchives. Or if there is, what and where is it, because I've been doing quite a few searches and couldn't find one. I'm sure a lot of people, if not too many would fancy discussing matters there for fun or for benefit. I'm just asking if there is one, or if one would be a great addition.
