Therion, Threshold, Tomas Bodin, Tool, Transatlantic.... decent enough... BUT if we add bands that start with "The", then things get better: The Beatles, the Decemberists, The Mars Volta, The FLOWER KINGS, The Gathering, The Doors, The Tangent, The Devin Townsend Band....
I guess the T rules....
And also "D T"

"The" does not count. The Flower Kings are listed under "F", and rightfully so.

Much as respect your right to post whatever the hell you want, this has got to be one of the most inane threads ever. But hey, I can play along. Favorite letter hmmm, what alphabet??? Archaic Cyrillic? Cause if so, then my favorite letter is UK. (Note: Technically speaking it's the name of the letter.) |
Damn right I can post whatever I want, no matter how inane!

with G i would add Goblin and Garybaldi
P is a letter that always caught my attention, not only for prog, when i was younger i used to listen to Portishead, Pixies, Primus even Placebo...
And also with P or G we could say Peter Gabriel

Bands that begin with the letter P occupy the greatest majority of my purchased collection.
Pendragon, Pain of Salvation, Pink Floyd, PFM, Porcupine Tree, Pallas

Not to forget Gong, Guru Guru and Greenslade. But the award goes to the letter H: Peter Hammill, Steve Hackett, High Tide, Steve Hillage, Hawkwind, Here and Now, Hatfield and the North, Hoelderlin. Counting the albums of Hammill and Hawkwind alone you probably already pass the 100 mark.
