Topic: Late Night Host Posted: July 12 2007 at 19:06 |
Conan is clearly the greatest. He gets me laughing and rolling around on my bed almost every night. I like Leno as well, but I only really watch it for the segment with the misspelled newspaper ads. I always make sure that I never miss an episode of Late night with Conan O'Brien though.

I only know them for some movie and TV appearences, as well as Kimble for The man show... which is not that funny after a while OŽBrian seems to be very funny hahahaha loved that Futurama episode where Bender makes fun of him and he says "Yeah, but I got feelings" "So what?" "But I got freckles" "...ouch"

Conan O'Brian without question. I cannot wait for him to replace that hack Leno. Conan is the only one who can make me consistently laugh.

I would vote for Jon Stewart too, easily, but I agree; he doesn't really fit the category. I only know Conan and Leno, both are very capable.

Only familiar with Leno and O'Brien, and I go for the latter

nice to see the love for Dave, who surely will go down as a late night great in the same league with Johnny Carson and a handfull of others.

Conan is a funny man, but Letterman is a classic with my family.
He will always be my favorite. In fact, now that I'm 18 I can finally get tickets to his show, but is proving very difficult.

I didn't think that Stewart fit into the category- 1/2 show to an hour show, not a real monologue- etc.

Conan is the king, then Letterman who is still funny. Leno sucks, and Craig Ferguson is awful. I still haven't figured out how he was able to take over that show.

I vote for Leno.. His jokes are the best, he's the most charismatic, just a little bit more than Conan O'Brien who, nevertheless, will have to make some changes in his style when he takes over Leno's position in 2010; Letterman is a bore to me, his "top 10" used to be funny but now is full of innocent, almost childish jokes; Craig Ferguson's monologue is always good, in a different style 9more dealing with him and telling stories than small punchlines aboput current events).... Carson lacks charisma to tell jokes, though he has improved (he used to be MTV d-j ... he's gotten better)...
Yes, where's Stewart? Where's Colbert? (both good, not great)... Where's Maher? ( a different thing)

Glad you said current,or I would have said Carson.
Right now...........Letterman RULES late night talk tv.I used to like Conan but Andy Richter leaving really hurt that show. |
I agree about Richter's departure. However, I still think Conan is the best currently. I would even go as far to say that he could give Carson a run.
Letterman is the easy second best. I liked him alot more when he had Conan's time slot though. He's calmed down considerably.
