YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

What I'm noticing is that today the RPI (in the sense of the historical definition) is disappearing in new bands/ artists!!!

I guess burritounit did Post Rock, and handed it over to Micky for Xover in september.... that cigarette Micky lighted up then should've burned out by now.

I've checked this band and it seems like a though one to decide. They have a bit of a post rock influence but not entirely...has any other team checked this band??

Bump. Apparently the band have two self released EPs out - downloadable from their web site. Would the Post Rock team care to have a look and listen?

Tomorrow should be able to download the demo "Boulevard Cinéma" and listen, and then just review can judge him.

Now I am listening to a double-CD and this afternoon are working ... I only have time tomorrow morning as "brain OK"!

I believe that with Lizard Records (To which I had sent an e-mail... And the interest was high...) may be all in the high seas. In any case, the demo can be downloaded from their website.

Oniric - Suggestioni (demo)
Review by Ely78 (Elizabeth)

Limmagine%20“http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_images/4stars.gif”%20non%20può%20essere%20visualizzata%20poiché%20contiene%20degli%20errori.

Excellent like demo. Dark Electronic Symphonic Prog (for what I understood). I think that this demo is more that a simple demo. And in the hope of to see them soon with a contract in hand I review the demo.

The best song is "Destroy Paranoia2 because is Dark ans Symphonic. But extreme POP. In this sense this song is a true surprise because is more shining of "The Rest Will Flow" (another best song) and "Dangling Cloud" (because too Electronic Dark) and because the vocal parts are extreme convincing. Synths, keyboards and guitars aren't invadent like in "Euphoria Revolver". In this case a true light song... But extreme Dark.

The worst song is "Euphoria Revolver" because too modern and Dark. If the rhythm is clearly Nu Metal but with Ssynth and guitar to create common in merit is a song too hard to include. But in general this song not ruins this beautiful demo.

In conclusion "Suggestioni" is a great demo. A little masterpiece. For a secure future for Oniric. A great band.

Oniric promotion:

Today I wrote to the mail of the Lizard Records and I obtained answered from LorisFurlan that it ensured me that it will listen to them and that then it will know to say me.  It seems interested, because it says that it is always to the search for something again and not of the usual Italian Prog.

Unfortunately it writes me that it has in gone out 4 CD and that then will be compelled to take a short pause...  Because the Italian market (and in all general) isn't flourishing. Loris is all right with me when I talk about deep state of coma.  We hope well!!!

Oniric - Suggestioni (demo)

My rating:9/10 PA Rating:5/5

This is a new sensational band from Benevento, South Italy.  Onirik is a duo formed by

Carlo De Filippo: keyboards, synths and Gian Vigo: vocals, guitars, drums, bass, lyrics and the Oniric bio so recited: Oniric was born in 2005, it is a duo merging Carlo De Filippo's sad chords and dark sounds with melodies and sonorous elucubrations from Gian Vigo. A dark - pop sonority interlacement, crossing obscure chords and some electronic influences, creating ethereal atmospheres, meditating and dreaming. In truth the music is very dark, but only because with this instruments the sound is Dark. At any case I wouldn't talk about Electronic Prog because rather I see in the Oniric a tightly recover some tradition of Italian Prog, filtered in modern optician. The manifesto song is sure "Destroy Paranoia", a simply POP oriented Dark song, with a good atmospheses. The second manifesto song is "Euphonia Revolver", more complex and decadent with a good keyboards and guitars. more Symphonic is the opener "The Rest Will Flow" with a simply rhytmic by electric guitar and good carpet of synth, sweet and dreaming. Dreaming is also "Dangling Cloud" also, to the end, is a normal song with rhythmic guitar and synth carpet. At any rate the largest lack are the vocal parts...  Monotonous and a la Ayreon.

Now we wait for a complete CD because the introductions for quite to appear there are all.
