Yes, a singular god/deity that created everything isn't logical to me either, but in the sense that if "He" is the creator, then where the hell did he come from? Wouldn't he then logically have to have been created himself? And who would have done that? And on, and on...

I ditto that. There's "something else" about everything. I think the fact that people have a sense of self-awareness, creativity, and the ability to think/problem-solve isn't by chance; I choose "Spirit World" as the closest answer.

It's hardly comforting to know that there is nothing at all after death. I have maybe 80 more years, and the fact that time passes so quickly is rather frightening.

True. I never looked at it that way. And yet I still envy those who feel so certain about something so unknowable...I'd give anything to understand how they reach such a stage of certainty. Also, I'd be interested in their proving their certainty, although I'm sure that would be difficult.

Can't we reincarnate as Steve Hogarth instead?

I'm a believer and once I was explained Heaven and Hell in terms of your ultimate relationship with God: Heaven is enjoying all of his love in eternity. Hell is just the same, but it should be like getting a very precious gift from a person who you've caused much evil to: it's the sense of guiltiness that makes you feel devoured inside.
Sorry for beeing so "theological", but I believe in this as well as I believe in God.

A good opportunity to see how horrible it is to be butchered then consumed! Perfect

I too voted for the 'Wouldn't Know' option... a safe bet, means I don't have to throw in my lot with a certain religion that could be way off!
I do think, as Limeyrob said above, that our energy is recycled back into the planet which gave us life.
It is, to me, the most believeable option out of the many stories thrown about, and the one which actually feels right.

The only ones Fripp will sentence to eternal suffering will be the ones who call him evil.

I like the Bhuddist idea of contibual reincarnation on a cycle of personal improvement until attaining perfection & becoming one with the Supreme.
Never know, though, will we?

That's what you think - when you go, we're going to smother your body in honey & stake you out over an anthill, then release the flies... Mwahahahahaha!
That's in a little poor taste, isn't it?

i'm a what do you call it, agnostic I think. I think you're not very smart if you think you can claim to know whether there is or isn't an afterlife. I mean, chances are, if you're reading this, you've never been dead. I must say though, I lean toward atheism most of the time.
