Having seen both bands (not the same show) that would have been a great show!
TFK has played in So Cal in 2005, 2006 and they played Bajaprog festival (just a little south of metropolitan So Cal) in 2004.

Meshuggah toured with Tool in '01. I caught that one.

TFK usually hit the east coast pretty well, from Florida to New York. Opeth tour nationwide, and have for several years... I saw them in Austin, TX of all places a few years ago. Pain Of Salvation used to tour the US, but their political beliefs currently prevent them from visiting this country; this also led to Daniel Gildenlow being ejected from the Flower Kings.
TFK are the best of the lot anyway, and I'm sure if you want to, you'll be able to see them.

The Flower Kings were in the US last year on tour. The reason you can't find any tour dates for them is simply because they aren't touring at the moment. They are supposed to release an album later this summer, and I would venture to guess that they will probably tour to promote the album in the following months. If that's the case, I would imagine they will play a handful of shows in the US. Whether any of those shows would be close enough for you to see them, well that's another matter...

Alot of Swedish Melodic Death Bands play the US (i.e. In Flames, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, Arch Enemy) but nothing really worthy of seeing.
I'm still waiting for the day I can see Spawn of Possession, Meshuggah, or Crowpath though.

Opeth tours the United States pretty regularly. I think Pain of Salvation considers some of the United States' policies to be an obstruction of their privacy. Last time I checked they weren't planning any tours here, but I'm not 100% on this.
As for the Flower Kings, I have no idea.

Well, the title pretty much covers my question.
Me and my dad have discovered tons of awesome prog bands lately, the three main ones being Pain of Salvation, Opeth, and The Flower Kings. I was wondering, do these guys come to the US? We can't find any tour dates, and although I assume they would, with the war and our world view at the moment, I would not be surprised if these bands refused to come here in a form of protest, especially peace loving Flower Kings (and no, that is not meant as a sarcastic insult). To me, I think it would be dumb to punish thier fans because of a war most don't agree with here in the first place, but hey, I couldn't really balme them either.
So, does anyone know? We would really love to see any of these bands live. I figure if there is a place to find music fans who would know, it is here.
