I'm a pianist (as some may know already), and i think that the left hand is more important whilst playing than the right. I also find it very underated in everyday life, so left it is.

Funny thing is, I'm actually left handed.
 
It really sucks when I go to guitar center, and all I can play are the low grade guitars, that happen to be the only lefties in the store.

I do everything with my right hand...my left hand kind of.. sucks...
 
My thinking is also usually done by the right side of my brain, but sometimes logic strikes and the left side wins...Tongue
 
And let's not start with legs... trying to kick a football (soccer you americansAngry) with the left is difficult for me... not that with the right I'm Cruyff or Pele, but at least I can somewhat put the ball where I want to (with an error margin or 5-6 meters both sides...LOL)
 
Mmm.... well, the heart is in the left side, isn't it? Then there's some use for my left side!
 
Also, politically... well, in the US I would be considered far-left, but in my country (where there still are dinosaurs and marxists) I'd be center-right...

I write and eat with my right hand, but throw darts with my left. I used to be ambidextrous as a child but was told to use the "good" hand".

Also, as I've tried to explain , I'm asking which hand you prefer . It's not meant to be a straight out statistical poll and , at least some haven't interpreted it as that . What's the point you ask?

It was born out of boredom ,reading the same or similar polls day in day out and , yes, i'm sorry, this is similar to Clarke's , baaaaaaaaaaart........

I'm right handed, but my dad was left-handed and since he showed me how to do many things, (behave at the back, and stop sniggering), I am partially ambidextrous.
 
I think most people are capable of being ambidextrous. I know quite a few lefties who were forced to write right-handed (it was an archaic school-thing back in the 50's & 60's) and you can teach yourself to do most things equally as well with either hand (I said stop sniggering!)
 
It's always puzzled me why for right-handed guitarists the left-hand is use to do the complicated fret-board stuff where as keyboard players use the right-hand for the twiddley bits.
 
Can you get left-handed flutes? If so do they have to sit at the end of the row in an orchestra so they don't end up having sword fights with their neighbour?
