My job has recently started to suck really hard. Ouch

I'll be writing a CV and start sending it to various employers, soon.

The right work/life balance is essential, I think, to maintain some kind of sanity; I've refused about 4 or 5 promotions in the last year or so (although I did take one in the end) - as far as I'm concerned, career ambition is something to concern other people. The further you travel up the corporate ladder, the easier it is for the snipers to spot you.

I'm standing on the till, shouting "next, please". I'm not enjoying it, but there are always some interesting moments when you are a cashier...

Just got my file from Hugh Syme today for our magazine. He took a pretty dull concept and made it look very nice. As soon as I lay it out, I'll post it.

Does it count as a job if you arent on a fixed schedule?

Because my school pays me X amount of dollars to perform the music to all of the drama club productions.

I learned to adjust from being at home and having everything, to being away with very little, it's actually easier to adjust than you'd think, at least it was for me (and I'm around 6 hrs away from home btw).

oh wow, that's a very impressive feat    Shocked  I could easily do it now, what with living at home and all that, but I can't even imagine doing that in a couple years...

I didn't worry about working until the summer I graduated from high school, I got a job then fine, but it sucked and I only worked for less than 2 months.

I once had to survive on 20 dollars or something for 2 weeks, not very pleasant, but I did it. Luckily, I don't have to drive much at all, I have a room (on campus, that does suck, but still), and at that time, I think I had some food left in my room.

I'm not that poor (yet). I had to get a loan out to pay for the rest of my school, so most of the money I have left is from that (maybe 200 dollars or less).  Most of it I have to use on food, too.

Last semester, when I was out of school, I couldn't get anyone to hire me cause of my hair and facial hair, ridiculous, I'll have to cut my hair soon too, just to be safe, probably around when school ends or sooner.

If only I had a job, I'll have to have one when school gets out (for sure which is surprisingly soon).

A bus boy?

A bus boy is a person who helps other people serve in the restaurant, for instance, by delivering the dirty plates. Wink

Wrong. What he means is that he wants to drive the restaurant's bus and take every chef and cook to and from the restaurant from and to their homes.
