Hey, darqdean, Season's End was already on my 1st band's friends list!! Scary small yet huge internet world out there...
I haven't listened yet, but I must find out what these 'uninspired electronic noodlings' are... Here's my 1st band that died awfully fast: http://www.myspace.com/thejamexperimentband Here's my current project that's also in the unsigned bands section, but I guess since this is a myspace thread it's okay to post the link here too: http://www.myspace.com/sonolumina I think the 2nd project is going pretty well from a songwriting viewpoint at least. I hope someday it gets off its feet. Edited by StarsongAgeless - June 04 2007 at 23:05 |

The band I once managed has a MySpace page:
They are Female-fronted Symphonic Gothic Metal in a similar vein to Within Temptation and Epica. They are not especially Prog, but have prog leanings and unfluences - Celestia, a 10 minute doom epic is very progressive in structure (there is an accoustic version on the MySpace page)
I have a MySpace page of my own if anyone feels inclined to add me as a friend:
I also have a MySpace for my megre musical outputings, I have tried several times to compose progressive music, but sadly I do not have the talent or skill, so what remains is uninspired electronic noodlings:

That is my Band's myspace; It's not very proggy but the songs are goos, give me some feedback, friend requests all that myspace jazz. Some are simple, some kind of funky, I am the Drummer that you can Ironically not hear very well there is punk song on there, and the Acrobat sounds like a combo of Opeth and Be Careful with that Axe Eugene, that's the inspiration for the scream Again feedback is always appreciated. |

You think we've developed fast that we're civilized and intelligent I'll let you in on a secret...We've developed things the rest is just knowledge passed on.

For those with new and unsigned PROG bands I inform that the ProgArchives have a forum dedicated entirely for you:
There, the exposition will be much more clear, including reviews and comments from senior members and site collaborators!
This thread will be kept open since some may have non-PROG bands. Edited by Atkingani - March 25 2007 at 13:50 |

We're really not sure what we are. We have such diverse tastes in music, we decided it would be unfair just to pick one, so we just make whatever we feel like. Pretty much every song is different. Aside from the stuff on the myspace, we've got 2 Aphex Twin-like songs, a Merzbow-ish noise piece, a 15 minute electro-rock epic (partially finished), a free jazz-ish take on a Weezer song, along with various cover songs in the works (Devo, Marilyn Manson, PiL, and Napalm Death just to name a few). |

Sorry, Cyndee I had an extra space at the end of the link which showed up as a %20 in the address.
But don't worry... We're myspace friends already (I know, I know, you have so many)
