1. Us (Am I the only one to appreciate this most? I think it's his best album as a whole musically and easiest to relate to lyrically as it's all about human relationships, especially love)
2. 4 (maybe the most experimental, hated it first and sold it forward, but gave it a new chance a little later and grew to like it more and more over the years)
3. So (I have some kind of a love/hate relationship towards this one, some tracks suck, some are fine, some ok)
4. Up (A very welcome "comeback" album, makes me anxious for the next one, I/O (?), to be published later this year - or in Gabriel's case, could be delayd until the end of the decade.

The rest of them, not in any specific order, but 2 and Long Walk Home are the worst of them.

I've always felt Gabriel's output had the pattern good album, poor album, good album poor album etc.

The first four albums, from which Plays Live gets its material, are his best.  Saw him live in LA at the Greek Theatre in the early 1908s.  The man was (is still?) quite the showman!  Made me wish I had been old enough to see him at some European venue when he was touring with Genesis in those early years...

Up is my favorite, then Passion.  Haven't heard the others in a while so I can't rank them at the moment.

I had So but I only liked a couple of songs, it should have been called So-So! It put me off listening to any of his subsequent albums.

I have the German language version of 4 which I prefer to the English version.

3 (Melt) and well thats all i got and im not planing to buy anything more since its his best i feel the other stuff is probobly not worth it i liked it when i bought it very much but got fast tierd of it.
If i however buy anything more it will probobly be 4.  (but first i must buy all 40+ Peter Hammill solo albums wich i find much more intresting, i got everything up til and including "silent corner and empty stage" so far, next stop "in camera". Smile)

3 - One of the best albums ever recorded (not overrated).

1 - Amazing considering this was the first thing he did after Genesis. He took a completely new direction from the start.

Security - Almost as good as 3

Up - Probably the densest thing I have ever heard. It takes a while to open up.

So - Almost as good as Security

Us - Yeah, he was a bit off his game on this one, but still a very good album.

2 - Transitional, and contains some very good music. I just get a bit bored by the end.

No matter what, I wouldn't part with any of them.

I only really care for 2 of them - Gabriel's 3rd one, in my opinion, ranks with his best work in Genesis, & So is as good as "modern" serious rock gets.
The rest, really it's pick & choose. None held me in thrall from beginning to end.
