It can indeed be done within iTunes, but is a bit of a pain.
It involves setting the start and finish time for the first track, then exporting it to a new file. then set the start and finish time for the second track, then export that etc.......

The same method can be used to make snippets of your favourite tracks for mobile phone ring tones

There's plenty of software around for splitting up MP3 files so there ought to be an iTunes equivalent. Try Googling for it.

Hey everybody..

So, my dad just came home from Greece, where he went to a music store and asked for a greek prog band. He got me this cd from a band called Akritas.  (http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=2824) Of course i wanted to chek it out, so i put the cd in my computer. When i then wanted to add the cd to my itunes library, i discovered that the whole cd was put together in one  33:15 min. song called Akritas, and the artist and album name were wrong.

Both the cover and the discography here at progarchives says the album has 13 tracks.
So my question if is there is any way i can manually split up the album into these 13 tracks, so i wont just have one 33 min. song???

Thanks in advance

Matteo
