Rush are great, a fantastic band with a lot of technic, but my vote goes to Camel. The move me.

But wow stop it........ it's like comparing apples with oranges..... However, this poll is decided: Camel is definitely better than Rush.

Rush. Mirage and Snow Goose are as good as Rush, but after that they went downhill rapidly. (Yes, I'm a Moonmadness heretic.)

Rush definitely posess a wider amount of technicality as well as three volatile musicians. I admire Geddy Lee for bearing such a recognizable voice and making it vary so different songs don't become monotone nor expectable by the vocals like other groups such as R.E.M.
Talking about vocals too, that's been one of Camel's biggest turn-offs. Dom't take me wrong, I absolutely love Camel, but Rush in my opinion is better. Though not as progressive in the raw way Camel is.
Just check out any DVDs and compare their live performances. Rush live truly blows me away...

if there was a ratio of influence vs commercial success, Camel
would probably be number 1 on that scale. They have been and
continue to be often mimicked. By the time this poll closes, you
will wish they were still neck and neck!

So what were The Single Factor and Stationasy Traveller? |
Single Factor was a sell out. Stationary Traveller is one
of the best albums of the 80s, a perfect, though unlikely, marriage
between prog and new wave.
While both groups have weak vocalists, at least Camel's is listenable.
