I re-posted your original message to a Spanish-speaking forum I belong to -- perhaps you and your band will get some feedback from people from Spain or Latin America any time soon... Regards.

Great sound - very polished and professional overall, good drive from the bass, "sensitive" and intelligent drumming and some superb, tight riffing. There are some great songwriting touches too - although you do tend to stick with "safe" constructions and don't spring any surprises on the listener. Apart from "Lying", you tend to stick within a single sound-stage too, with very few variations. Although the vocalist has a reasonable ear for melody, and a voice that is not unpleasant, the vocals themselves could do with some work and lack the presence that the rest of the music would seem to demand; maybe you could double-track them and dream up some harmonies. I wouldn't describe the music as progressive though - it's classic riff-driven rock in a kind of nu-metal style; reminds me a bit of the Lost Prophets - but more stylish. In order to be truly progressive, you might want to consider introducing some keyboards and musical influences outside of the standard rock/metal templates - and work at getting the song length over 6 minutes! Good sounds though! |
