it's all pretty messed up and the official wakeman site doesn't mention it at all. amazon has two different versions listed:

the first (http://www.amazon.com/My-Inspiration-Rick-Wakeman/dp/B00008DI0Y/sr=8-1/qid=1168692733/ref=sr_1_1/104-9731912-4163165?ie=UTF8&s=music) has the three cd track list, but i assume they haven't actually seen it as on the same page it's written "Number of Discs: 2". it's listed as a 2003 release.

the second (http://www.amazon.com/My-Inspiration-Rick-Wakeman/dp/B00006GE3Z/sr=8-2/qid=1168692733/ref=sr_1_2/104-9731912-4163165?ie=UTF8&s=music) is, according to the front & back covers they provide, exactly the same issues as my copy. they also say it's a 2cd release but they have no track list (which is visible only on the back-cover photo sample). also, it's listed as a 2006 cd. my copy says it's 2001.

this might indicate that - despite i thought it's just a confusion - indeed there are two different releases.

I think this shoudl help. I can't remember where i found it, but the details of the three disc version should be left in place.

Tracks 1, 3-5, 7, 11, 14 from White Rock II Rick Wakeman: keyboards Stuart Sawney: programmed percussion Fraser Thorneycroft-Smith: guitars Brad Waissman: bass

Tracks 2, 6, 8-10, 12, 13 from The Official Bootleg Rick Wakeman: keyboards Adam Wakeman: keyboards Tony Fernandez: electronic percussion Alan Thomson: bass Notes: (***) Yet another compilation of material from Wakeman's more recent catalogue, the original 3-disc version of My Inspiration included every track from The Official Bootleg (bar Adam Wakeman's one piece) and White Rock II. The 3-disc edition was withdrawn from circulation and replaced by a 2-disc version, which matches the contents of discs one and two listed above. The combination of tracks makes for a surprisingly effective collection, but hardly essential to any but the most devoted collectors.

I googled the label number exactly as we had it [205877-349 Master Music Cz] and the only reference [other than PA] was a Polish Wakeman fansite, so perhaps we got the data from them! I notice Amazon (UK) have two versions listed - both for 2003 on two different labels - one with the extra tracks and one without.

Anyway .... I have updated it as per your CD, but I wonder if there is another version out there somewhere ..... Confused

the compilation is listen on the PA here: http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=4651

this is what the release actually contains:

pretty different, inn'it? LOL if you make the corrections, PA will be the first site on the internet to have the correct disk/track list!

unfortunately the copy i bought had another CD2 instead of the CD1 Ouch so i'm going back to the shop to get it changed (i don't think they'll have another copy of it...)
