Topic: Beatles Love Tonight Posted: December 28 2006 at 15:45 |
I must admit I was blown away by "Love." I guess I didn't expect it to be as good as it is or I would have bought it the day it was released. I'm not sure how the casual Beatles listener will react to it but for a lifelong fan it is a treat to the ears. There's really nothing out there like it and I think it's the most "progressive" Beatles ever produced. It's like one very long song. Wish I could see the documentary tonight but I think I might have already seen it a few months ago. It's good.

Really enjoyed the "Love" album. Still unclear why it should be mentioned on this prog site. Sorry. (no I'm not)

I like it too. I like trying to identify where certain sounds have been taken from. Its a bit like Anthology, but put together in coherent form.

A Documentary about the making of The Beatles Love is on tonight BBC1 at about 10.30.
