The IE7 "problem" can be worked around for the time being TLC - you only have to know a little bit of HTML Script (using tags etc. i.e. smiley would be [:-)] ), can your IT teacher advise you?

In my experience on this site, I have had about two minor problems and didn't moan about either. Considering the enormity of what the admin have to deal with, there should be a heck of a lot more flaws. As I see it, only one member here seems to be particularly affronted by the relatively minor flaws anyway.

I am sorry for being so tactless, but why bother putting so much effort into replying to a topic that is going to be closed (and they aren't closed for no reason, mind you). I mean, shouldn't YOU - the poster - be the one to know better, rather than blaming the people who obviously have siignificanty more crucial business to worry about?
edit: crap, wrong thread. Forget about this post.

Work is ongoing on significant improvements to the site TLC. These need to be prepared then tested first of course.
You can expect to see the changes in the first half of 2007, with resolution of issues such as the IE7 problems coming in first. I'd guess it will be January or February for those bits.
Please be patient and respect the fact the the webmasters are doing all this in their own time. They also have day jobs!
